Loralie Shinkaruk is a Portfolio Manager who understands the value of experience and has teamed up with other TD Wealth professionals to implement comprehensive wealth strategies for clients. Her career of the past twenty years has been focused on financial planning and discretionary investment management. She has specialized knowledge in working with healthcare practitioners, business owners, busy professionals and affluent families. She also has a keen interest in working with women investors by supporting them through all stages of their financial journey. Loralie holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan as well as the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Discretionary Money Management

Early in her career, Loralie worked for a private firm that provided discretionary money management to institutions and high net worth clients. Inspired and intrigued with the thought of being able to help people lessen the complexity of managing wealth, she chose to make her own path in discretionary money management. As a Portfolio Manager, Loralie has a duty to act in the best interest of each client and an obligation to put her client's interest before my her own in all recommendations.

The Client Journey

Outside of work, you will find Loralie training for triathlons. As an athlete, she values the input and perspective brought by a coach dedicated to her success. Similarly, she goes beyond discussions of market and investment performance to coach her clients to achieve their personal goals. Over the years, Loralie has helped her clients navigate difficult markets as well as turbulent life experiences. The world can be unpredictable, complex, frustrating and even frightening at times. She collaborates with her clients to build wealth plans so that they may attain financial security and be confident in their decision-making. She most enjoys seeing her clients live their best life.

Loralie takes every opportunity to see the world – whether travelling or exploring the beautiful outdoors with her husband Kevin. She brings this same sense of adventure and curiosity to having thoughtful and deeper conversations with her clients. As a client, your journey starts with a discovery session that includes learning about your values, uncovering your wealth personality and delving into your wealth priorities.

After the initial discovery session, Loralie crafts a custom wealth plan which can include investment management, retirement planning, tax-efficient strategies, risk mitigation, estate planning and philanthropic goals. Whether you are making a life transition, planning for the future or being thrown into circumstances beyond your control, working with Loralie brings a sense of financial well-being.
