BACKGROUND | Nikola is an experienced capital markets professional, having spent time in both buy-side and sell-side roles. Prior to joining TD he served as a member of the Investment Committee and was the key Portfolio Manager responsible for a $3.7 billion investment-grade bond portfolio held by a public-sector infrastructure bank. In this role he was involved in raising over $6 billion in capital across 15 separate financing transactions.
Earlier in his career, Nikola held various roles in the Investment & Corporate Banking division of one of Canada's largest banks where he was primarily involved in Investment Grade and High Yield corporate debt financing transactions.
In his role as a Portfolio Manager at TD Wealth Private Investment Counsel, Nikola works closely with high-net-worth families, trusts and charitable foundations applying a disciplined, institutional-style investment process and rigorous risk-management practices.
Nikola is a CFA charterholder and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with Distinction in Finance from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University. He is currently a member of the CFA Society of Victoria.
Nikola is an avid fisherman, boater and skier. He spends the majority of his free time with his family out on the water or up in the mountains.
